Do I Really Need A Website?Do I really need a website?” and “Why do I need a website?” are two of the most commonly asked questions when it comes to small business ownership and management today. The short answers are “yes” and “in order to be profitable in today’s market”! Businesses today want to be both effective and efficient. A well designed and properly created website will allow you to achieve both of those results for your company. Years ago the question used to be, “Do I really need to be in ‘The Yellow Pages’?” and the answer by small business owners, consultants & experts everywhere was a resounding “YES!” Well … that was “then”, but this is “now”! “Do I really need a website?” YES! Your website is an “interactive brochure / advertising piece” that can be seen, as the saying goes, “24 / 7 / 365” as in “24 hours a day / 7 days a week / 365 days a year”! Websites have been proven to generate new business as well as to retain existing customers! Customers, both potential and existing, can access the information they need at any time … day or night – weekday or weekend … by simply logging onto a computer. This “interactive brochure / advertising piece” can be revised and updated both quickly and easily. As you consider this method of “advertising / marketing” … consider what your “return on investment” will be as well as the cost to create a website! “Do I really need a website?” YES! Oh … there is one exception! It has been said that if something is worth doing … it is worth doing well. It is actually better to not have a website than to have one that makes your business look bad or unprofessional. Remember … you have one chance to make a first impression! Your website says a lot about your business. It can either say, “We value you as a customer so much that we have created this awesome, easily navigated site for you!” or it can say, “Hey … check out the website my 13 year old nephew designed. I hope you find what you are looking for somewhere on the site!” Your website is a vital part of your business! If you do not have one (or a poorly designed one) … you are losing business to one that does! Are you seriously considering investing in a website or redesigning your current website? |
